Recruited as an intern based on previous freelance work. Fulfilled the duties of a full-time metro reporter, including reporting three to four stories per week, eight of them front page, presenting follow-up and enterprise ideas to editors, communicating with high-ranking public officials and covering police beat shifts on weekends.
